About Us

Buckreddan Care CentreBuckreddan Care Centre has vastly expanded since it's opening on 11 th August 1986 but the superb standard of service is guaranteed to continue.

Once belonging to Ayrshire & Arran Health Board, the location played a major role in the community as the local Maternity Hospital.

The complex began as a Care Centre with the opening of Garnock in 1986, further upgrade and expansion continued until the opening in 2004 of Eglinton and Little Deers Nursery completed the complex.

Eglinton provides spacious living accommodation for 66 residents and Garnock for 53.

As well as seating areas within the rooms both Garnock and Eglinton have communal lounge areas, and designated smoking lounges (for residents use only), where residents can meet to chat and take part in the various activities that take place in the Care Home throughout the day.

Care Manager Theresa Fitzsimmons said "As a family run business we understand the importance of family values. We ensure everyone is treated with respect and as individuals with vast experience of life. The Care Centre has a friendly, homely atmosphere. Staff are all called by their first names and work together as a team of health care professionals. Our staff are highly valued and strive to provide the best standard of care possible, 24 hours a day, on both personal and nursing levels."
